General Principles

Felis Hungarica issues pedigrees exclusively for its members.

Members must register any cat they own if the cat:

• is used for breeding
• participates in shows

Registering a New Cat

Newly acquired cats must be reported to the association.

Within 4 weeks the following must be submitted:

• copy of the pedigree (minimum 4 generations)
• payment of the registration fee

If the pedigree has not yet arrived from the breeder, the association must be informed.

Late registration may incur an administrative fee.

Submitting Documents

Documents must be sent as:

clear scanned PDF files

Required:

• pedigree
• proof of ownership

Only PDF files are accepted.

Proof of Ownership

One of the following:

• pedigree already issued in the new owner’s name
• official transfer
• sales contract

The contract must include the breeder’s email address.

Litter Registration

Only members with a FIFe registered cattery name may register litters.

Submission:

• online form
• or email

Deadline: within 12 weeks after birth

External mating

Required documents:

• sire’s pedigree
• mating certificate

Verification

Information is verified by:

• Stud Book Registrar
• Breeding Commission

The breeder is responsible for the accuracy of the data.

Fees

Pedigrees are issued only after payment.

Processing time: maximum 6 weeks after receiving complete documents and payment.

Online Litter Registration

Since 1 January 2023, litter registration is available online only.

Access:

• members only
• website registration required

Cattery Name

Breeding requires a FIFe registered cattery name.
